The forum to strengthen understanding and awareness on local level for driving Phetchaburi province to be one of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN)

The organization of “The forum to strengthen understanding and awareness on local level for driving Phetchaburi province to be one of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN)” is the important core of the participatory driving process. The forum had been already held 3 times on local level. The fourth one was held on November 13, 2020 at Royal Diamond hotel in Phetchaburi province.

For the last forum, we were honored by Ms. Sawitri Suwannasatit, eminent person from the Ministry of Culture. She discoursed about “the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)”. Moreover, the opening ceremony’s speech was delivered by Ms.Wanpen Mangsri, the governor of Phetchaburi province and Mr.Chumpon Musiganon, the director of Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism (DASTA), reported about the situation.

The work of driving Phetchaburi province to be the creative city has been very intense and broadly recognition. The last forum got a lot of attention from several sectors, for example, the enterprises, the community enterprises, civil society, press, government officers and government organizations. They participated that forum, even they had already participated the forum on local level. All of the opinions that we gathered from the forum are useful. The organizer will use this data for the application process in the future. Moreover, we created line group, named “Group of Strengthen of awareness of Phetchaburi creative city” to be the channel of communication, exchanging information and new ideas for the members. Even the forum had done, the beginning channel of our communication is very delightful.
